Can a gun actually make you shoot better?

No, But the right gun actually can allow you to shoot better. The XD is a perfect example. It is designed to work with your body, not against it allowing you to reach your full potential as a shooter. Pick it up. Point it. Raise an XD naturally to eye level and you will be looking right down the sights. Thats what we call

Point & Shoot Ergonomics.

Try this with some other popular pistols and you may be looking at the top of the slide instead more like Point and Adjust. With a pistol like that, you will always need to bend your wrist forward to compensate for the unnatural grip angle. The natural pointability of the XD, combined with the compact size and shape of its polymer grip, makes it feel more like a natural extension of your body than an object in your hand. Thats why most people find they shoot better with an XD. Does the XD make them shoot better? No. But it allows them to shoot their best.

XD FEATURES

Choose between near diamond-hard black Melonite or classic bead-blasted stainless steel. This barrel making process is usually reserved for precision rifles, where accuracy is more critical. The XDs barrel quality is higher because its not just a handgun, its an XD.

DURABLE, CORROSION-RESISTANT FINISHES.

Fully hammer-forged barrel.

No tools are required to field strip the XD for cleaning. More importantly, the order of operations is much safer than other guns. The takedown lever cannot be actuated until the slide is locked back, allowing you to verify the XD is unloaded. We think this should be obvious, but surprisingly, other pistols require you to pull the trigger first to begin takedown.

Easy no-tool disassembly.

this includes an injection molded polymer holster, double-magazine pouch and magazine loader. All Compact, and Sub-Compact XD pistols also Come with an XD GEAR Mag-X-Tension.

All XDs come with the XD Gear System FREE.

Metal parts that have close tolerances or are subject to severe loads are forged and machined from billet. This isnt the cheapest way to make these parts, but its the best way to ensure precision and durability.

AMBIDEXTROUS MAGAZINE RELEASE

the loaded chamber indicator allows the shooter to verify visually or by touch, and without a doubt, that there is a round in the chamber.

the ultra safety assurance (usa) trigger system guards against accidental discharge from dropping or bumping by locking the trigger in place until direct, rearward pressure is applied.

The grip safety on the XD allows it to fire only when the shooter has a firm grip on the pistol.
