Beginning of Class/ Attendance

Noise Level: 2 1. At your locker make sure you have binder, paper, pencil/pen, textbook, homework, assignments, DEAR book. 2. Come into class quietly, sit down at your assigned seat. 3. Open your binders to what was covered yesterday. 4. Listen for teacher direction. Look on the board for directions 5. When teacher begins attendance noise level is 0.

Instructional Time
Noise Level: 0 1. Washroom, water fountain, pencil sharpener not available. 2. Stop what you are doing, make eye contact, close your mouth, focus on speaker. 3. Raise your hand to participate. 4. Listen for directions and cues from teacher.

Independent Work
Noise Level: 1 1. Remain in your desk unless directed by teacher. 2. Raise hand for help. If teacher is talking to someone else DO NOT interrupt. 3. Remain on task. 4. Are your conversations on topic

Group Work
Noise Level: 3 1. Teacher will give instructions about how groups are organized. 2. Remain in your group work area. 3. All members participate and contribute. 4. Noise level must NEVER exceed Level 3.

Bathroom Expectations
Noise Level: 0 1. Don't ask during instructional time. 2. Get permission from teacher. 3. Not social time, head to closest bathroom. 4. Flush, wash hands please!

Electronic Devices
1.Keep your electronic devices in your locker during class time. 2.You may use your devices before school, at lunch and after school.

Hallway with Class


(assemblies, library, computer labs)
Noise Level: 1 1. Line up at the door. 2. Wait for teacher to guide you down the hall. 3. Stay in line. 4. Model for elementary students.

Assembly Expectations
Noise Level: Teacher directed 1. Follow hallway expectations on the way down. 2. Enter gym calmly, follow directions of teachers on where to sit, sit flat, cross-legged, DON'T lie down. 3. Focus on presentation, ignore side conversations, clap when appropriate, understand reason for assembly.

Junior High Pod


1. Leave classroom silently. (Noise Level: 0) 2. Pull out chairs and log onto computers (Noise Level: 1) 3. Do not talk across the hallway. 4. This is a classroom and you should never disrupt anyone working in the pod. 5. Listen to teacher instructions, raise hand if you need help. 6. Log out, straighten monitor and keyboard, push chairs in, pick up your stuff.
