As per Government letter first cited, the R&C Measures were introduced
and are inforce.
2. The Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Generation and
Distribution Corporation Umited (TANGEDCO) has now proposed relaxation of
R&C measures up to 30,9.2013 as detailed below:
a) The eXisting 40% power cut to HT Industrial and Commercial
Services may be totally relaxed other than peak hours i.e. 18 hrs.
to 22 hrs.
b) During peak hours the 90% cut may be relaxed to 40%
(Le. existing 10% quota may be increased to 60%)

3. The Government accept the proposal of Chairman cum Managing
Director. TANGEDCO for relaxation of R&C measures upto 30.9.2013 as
detailed below with immediate effect.
a) The existing 40% power cut to HT Industrial and Commercial
Services may be totally relaxed other than peak hours Le. 18 hrs.
to 22 hrs.
b) During peak hours the 90% cut may be relaxed to 40%
(i.e. existing 10% quota may be increased to 60%)
4. The relaxation beyond 30.9.2013 can be .considered separately based on
power availability.
