The game will be played on Tuesday, September 17 at 6 p.m. and is open to students in grades 6-12. Teens will be broken into groups of four and issued equal amounts of game money. One by one, a series of storage container units will be brought out along with a profile about the imaginary person who abandoned the unit. The teams will have to rely on the profiles, size and weight of the containers and teamwork to decide how much to bid. Once the bids are in and the containers are won, the contents will be revealed. The team that wins the bid on the highest valued unit will win a grand prize at the conclusion of the event. Im super excited to play this game, said Chloe Freeman, member of the Teen Advisory Board which helps plan library programs. The competition will be fierce to see which team can put together enough information to bid on the best box. The program is limited to 48 participants and registration is required.
