Clean oil tank thoroughly. Fill oil console with flushing oil. This should be turbine oil only. Remove filter element from filter. Remove top half of the bearing and place the bearing caps back Ensure that the cooling water to oil coolers is stopped. Maintain the temp of oil from cooler outlet between 60 c to 70 c by heating the oil either by electric heater or by steam heater. Start AOP initially, with out the number 250 mesh at filter outlet. This can be done for about 4 to 6 hrs. Now stop AOP. Put a No 250 mesh at filter outlet. Restart AOP and allow the oil to circulate. if the oil flow to bearing &spray pipes stops ,take out no 250 mesh clean and re use. if the mesh is too dirty ,use new mesh for oil flushing. Continue oil flushing till the no 250 mesh is clear. Stop AOP. Support motor, gear&pinion.remove the bottom bearings. Start AOP &do flushing of oil for 1 hr. Refit bottom bearing of rotor, pinion &gear. Check bearing clearance backlash &float of rotor, pinion &gear and record on format no TSS/02/207, as applicable. Now final position of top bearings &bearing caps to be done &this is to tightened. Inspect all sub assemblies for foreign particles dirt, etc & clean if necessary. Check freeness and functioning of the sub assemblies and record in formats as mentioned in point no 13 above. Remove flushing oil from cooler, filter, and oil pump and clean them thoroughly. Remove no 250 mesh from filter outlet. put filter element back. Fill oil console with fresh turbine oil. Run AOP to check flow of oil to all places like bearings spray for gears worm/worm wheels etc.arrest all oil leakages. Complete box up of other covers as applicable for the frame.

Check and adjust relay oil pressure to the specified valve by help of pressure control valve.
