CHAPTER-III ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

This chapter deals with the analysis and interpretation of the study on the topic A Study on the Quality of Work Life at Craftsman Automation Private Limited is presented based on a sample of 200 respondents. The collected data are classified and tabulated. The data are analyzed using the following statistical tools: 1. Simple percentage analysis 2. ANOVA 3. T-test 4. Chi-square analysis 5. Correlation 6. Kendalls co-efficient of concordance SIMPLE PERCENTAGE ANALYSIS Simple Percentage Analysis is carried out for all the questions, given in the questionnaire. These analyses describe the classification of the respondents falling under each category. The percentage analysis is used mainly for standardization and comparison. Diagrams and charts depicted are in support of the analysis. ANOVA TEST Anova technique is used when multiple sample cases are involved. Anova is to test for difference among the means of the populations by examining the amount of variation within each of these samples, relative to the amount of variation between the samples. T-TEST T-test is applied to find whether the score vary significantly between two variables. It should be calculated for only two variables.

CHI-SQUARE ANALYSIS The Chi-Square Analysis is used mainly test the independence of the attribute factors. In others words chi-square test is used to the whether one factor has significant influence over the other. CORRELATION Correlation was applied to find the degree of relationship between scores and variables. The correlation was also applied to find whether there is a positive or negative relationship between the variables. KENDRALLS COEFFICIENT OF CONCORDANCE Kendalls coefficient of concordance (W) was used to find whether there is similarity among the respondents in assigning the ranks. Kendalls (W) ranges between 0 and 1. Higher the value of (W) more in the similarity among the respondents in assigning the ranks.
