Indian Rupee Symbol - Update to Microsoft Software Products for New Indian Rupee Symbol

Go to Control Panel Clock, Language and Region and select >Change keyboard and other input method.

Click Change Keyboard

Click Add

Go to English (India) and select Show More.

Select India Select OK to all other dialog boxes.

After adding > the keyboard layout will show as shown in the below screen.

Change the keyboard from the language bar on the right hand bottom of taskbar to English (India). (The language bar will only be activated if you have more than one keyboard enabled)

Open Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Notepad etc and you can type the Rupee Symbol by pressing AltGr+4 (The Right Alt key+4)
