Mission Statement: It is my mission as a physical educator to provide an experience to each student that facilitates a desire to acquire new physical

skills (psychomotor), in a way that challenges them mentally (cognitive), while providing them an opportunity to grow socially (affective).

Physical Education Philosophy: I firmly believe that every person is an athlete. I believe that the human body should be used to run, jump, skip, climb, swim, flip, push, pull, squat, and throw. I also believe that we should challenge those abilities while learning and playing new games. This should all be performed within a cohesive Physical Education Program that is developmentally appropriate, physiologically specific, biomechanically efficient, and orthopedically sound.

Strength and Conditioning Philosophy: The two most important goals of any Strength and Conditioning Program should be injury prevention and increased athletic performance. Therefore, the Strength and Conditioning Program must work cohesively within the overall sport program to ensure that each athlete is progressing optimally. As many tools will be utilized as possible to enhance the athletes ability to meet the requirements of each specific sport. Proper sequencing will be utilized to ensure that the team is able to display their ability when it matters most, in competition.
