___________________________________________________________________ INTRODUCTION TO PROTEUS ISIS

OBJECTIVES: To understand Circuit Simulation using Proteus ISIS. HARDWARE

None Instruments A Computer with Proteus ISIS installed in it. Miscellaneous None ---------------Tutorial ---------------As we have seen from the tutorial how to pick and place components, place terminals, hook up components together and simulate our design. Example 1: Now make the following example circuit and measure the voltage across the resistor R2.

BASIC THEORY:
In this Laboratory class we will be using circuit design and simulation software Proteus ISIS Following diagram explains the layout of Proteus ISIS.

Result: Voltage across R2: _3.75__ Volts

Example 2: Make the following circuit and measure the current through the resistor R3.

Time Period: _________ seconds High time: ________ seconds Peak Voltage: ________ volts Lab Assignment: Use a NPN transistor to operate a 12V DC motor. Use a push button on the base of the transistor. Pressing the push button should turn on the transistor and motor should be excited.

*Use your own values of R1, R2, R3, and R4. Result: Total Resistance of circuit: _55K_ ohms Current through resistor R3: _0.09 mA . Example 3: Use the oscilloscope and frequency generator module and measure the time period and peak volts of the square wave.
