GHD Avert

The GHD advert is full of many different denotations and connotations . A denotation is that the women is wearing a red low cut dress and has very vibrant hair , this connotes that she is attention seeking and the red dress connotes passion and is very sexual . Another denotation is that in the background of this setting there are flying cherubs , this could connote that the women is some sort of angel/goddess or of certain importance . Staying on the topic of the setting the dentations are that it is in some sort of musical theatre or cinema and it has a stairway with the cherubs are at the top of the staitway , this could connote that it is a stairway to heaven as the women is at the bottom and the cherubs are at the top . Another denotation is that the men in this advert are very dark and in the shadows whereas the women is very bright and lit up , this connotes her performance and indicates how she is the star of the show and the spotlight is souly on her .
