GUIDELINES FOR PROJECT PREPARATION IN M.

COM PROGRAMME UNDER SEMESTER BASED CREDIT AND GRADING SYSTEM (ALL SEMESTERS) (As per the Guidelines of University of Mumbai) : w.e.f. Academic Year 2012-13. 1. Format of submission: Typed; Font: Times Roman; Font size: 12 points; Space: Double spaced; Paper size: A4 size; Binding type: Hard bound. 2. No. of pages: minimum 35 pages. 3. Title, Name, Class, Roll No., College Name on the upper face of the hard bound copy. 4. No. of Copies to be submitted: Two copies (one month before the Viva voce exam) 5. Both the copies to be certified by Internal examiner, External guide and Principal. 6. One copy to be returned to the student after certification, to be brought at the time of presentation and Viva voce examination. 7. The structure of the Project Report shall be in the following order: First page: containing Title, Name, Class, Roll No., College Name Declaration by student that the work done is original Certificate from the organisation where the field work is conducted Certificate from the External guide Acknowledgement Contents / Index/Chapterisation Scheme Chapters designed Appendices

Chapters designed could contain the following: Chapter I containing a) Introduction, b) Objectives of the Study, c) Rationale, d) Hypothesis, Research Methodology, Review of Literature and Limitations of the Study. Chapter II: Data Collection and Analysis Chapter III: a) Findings, b) Conclusions and c) Recommendations Chapter IV: Appendices a) Questionnnaire, b) Bibliography 9. Project should be completed in four weeks 10. Marks: 20 for Hard copy, 10 for presentation, 10 for viva-voce. Total 40. 11. Standard of passing: 40% of 40 marks, i.e., 16 marks. 12. Pass in a Course means pass in Internal and External together, however, the marks secured in each case are carried forward separately. **************
