Micro-Essay Theme in The Necklace

Task: Compose a micro-essay (one page or less) in which you answer the prompt below and meet all other requirements. You will be assessed using the school wide rubric for writing effectively (counted at 3 times its weight); quiz grade worth 41 points possible (manuscript format will count for 5 out of the total 41 points) Prompt: What is the most significant theme revealed in Guy De Maupassants The Necklace? Requirements: (1) Work must be typed and double spaced in the manuscript format (5 points possible; all or no credit for following the directions of the manuscript format (below) (2) A title (NOT The Necklace; write a title that reveals the scope or purpose of your essay) (3) Clear theme must be delivered in the topic sentence of your first paragraph. You may choose to structure this essay using one paragraph or multiple paragraphs. Use your discretion to decide. (4) Three supporting quotes and analysis of each quote.
