KEYBOARD PRELUDE IMPROVISATIO MI I COURSE by Vidas Pinkevicius Welcome to the Keyboard Prelude Improvisation Mini Course.

In the following 9 days, I will teach you how to improvise a prelude based on the following figure:

So here is the improvisation exercise for today: Day 1: Mastering the Figure Practice the above figure and memorize it. Once the figure has been thoroughly memorized, transpose it to keys with up to one accidental, that is, A minor, G major, E minor, F major and D minor. Note that the right hand notes are arpeggiated notes of the chord and that the harmonic rhythm moves in half notes. The left hand moves in quarter notes. When you'll play this exercise in minor keys, don't forget to raise 7th scale degree to make the last chord major. If you have any questions, as always, please let me know.
