MIST Cohort IX Job Aid Assignment Week 4

Job Aid SWOT Analysis The presented job aid was created to help in the transition from PC to Mac that DLIFLC is undergoing. As one of the LTSDs of the Spanish Department B I was put in charge of creating all job aids and Power Point presentations for the faculty and students. The Chairperson, Cecilia Barbudo, supervised my job. Interestingly, Professor Barbudo is a graduated student from MIST. At that time, the Job Aid took me about 45 minutes to prepare it. For this assignment I edited the previous job and took some new pictures. Tools to create the Job Aid I used MS Word, my own MacBook Pro, the iPhone 4 camera and the VGA adapter and cables provided by DLIFLC.

Strengths Fast to create. Direct to the point. Easy to distribute. Job Aid Almost anybody can do it. Easy and fast to supervise project.

Weaknesses Too simple if the need is instruction about complicated or advanced methods or techniques. Not sufficient space in the document if the instruction is too large.

Opportunities It can be edited to add or eliminate information as needed. Fast to distribute online due to the little amount of memory that consumes the document.

Threats People can edit it without enough knowledge about the topic. People that have not been involved in the creation process can take credit for it.
