How to Upgrade HBA Nic Card Drivers on ESX First make sure to migrate the VMs on the ESX

ESX to other available ESX (Host Migration Only) which you want upgrade the Driver /Firmware Put the ESX server into Maintenance Mode from Vcenter Browse to the location where the NIC card drivers are located i.e., \\pacmgmt01\d$\ITShare\VMware\Enic Fnic Upgrade Copy the files from the above mentioned location to the local Storage Disk on the ESX Server where you want to upgrade. For Example : if you want to upgrade on SAPCAPVH05, Storage1 (15) Browse the local Stroage1 (15) Datastore and copy the files there and it should look like as shown below screen shot :

Once you copy the files to the local storage disk SSH To the Host using Putty, Usr ID and Password is in Psafe Run the command cd to /vmfs/volumes/<Storage1\ \ (15)/ > Once you are on the above mentioned path, run the below command : esxupdate --bundle=enic_driver_2.1.2.20-offline_bundle-512425.zip update esxupdate --bundle=fnic_driver_2.1.2.20-offline_bundle-512425.zip update

After the Update, Check the Firmware Version by running the command and compare it wil old and new Versions as shown in below screen shots : Old Version

New Version
