Constellation Project

Draco Have you ever heard of the Greek gods and all the guardians of their treasure? Maybe you have heard of Zeus and all of his wives, but I doubt you have heard the story of Draco. Once there was a beautiful, young woman named Europa. Europa accidentally sparked Zeuss attention. Zeus swooped down from the heavens and took her away from her family. After Europa disappeared, the father sent Cadmus away to go and find her and banished him from Phoenicia until he found her. Cadmus, on the other hand, was quite smart. He knew that Zeus had taken Europa, which meant that he would never be able to find her. Nevertheless, Cadmus was still loyal to his father and looked for a week. In spite of his determination, he never found her. Cadmus knew he could never go back to Phoenicia so he decided to build his own city. He sent out his men to go find some water, but they never returned. Cadmus went and looked himself and found what was killing all of his men, a dragon. Cadmus killed the dragon and planted his teeth in the ground upon Athenas advice. From his teeth, a whole army popped up and killed each other until only five remained. Cadmus gained their trust and together they built a city called Thebes. In the end, Zeus hung a constellation of the dragon, Draco, in the sky so he could still guard Zeuss treasures.
