Walk for Marylands Children

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Walk for Marylands Children which will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 starting at 9:00 a.m. The event begins and ends at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Family Center Y at Stadium Place on 33rd Street. Participants will proceed east on 33rd Street and cross Hillen Road to Lake Montebello. Walkers will proceed around the lake and head west on 33 rd Street back to the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Family Center Y at Stadium Place. In preparation for the event, single lane closures will be implemented along the walk route wherever possible. Commuters should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the walk for the safety of participants. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
