Form your team. There should be no more than five students in any group. Your teacher will assign you by random one topic (Look at the bottom of this paper). Work with honesty, tolerance and respect for your work and for your partners. Cite your sources using the APA style. You and your partners are doing a research paper. You will hand in advances each partial and at the end of the semester you will deliver your final research paper. It is important you do your advances because this will help you to know how you are doing it.This project is your final exam. Your teacher is your guide, so it is your responsibility look for her/him to ask about doubts or questions. You will have feedback after the completion of each advance, but if you want to go further you should look for her/him. You should investigate at least 10 sources and three of them should be books or magazines. Use the Tec's digital Library, in this source you will find magazines as Foreign Affairs and Current History. The paper is to be written in English. Your final paper must be free of spelling and grammatical errors, at least 5 pages but no more than 8, and must be formatted according to the APA style (this means with front-page, 1.5 spaced, quotes, bibliography, etc.) About the advances: a. First Advance due on : September 5 i. Work with your team and look for at least six sources. ii. Read the articles or the sources. iii. Underline the main ideas. iv. Paraphrase in 2 paragraphs each source (a paragraph is of 9 lines). v. Limit your investigation. Make a framework. What do you want to get of your research? What is your hypothesis (thesis statement)? vi. Make an outline: How are you going to develop your research paper? Include hypothesis, antecedents, causes, main ideas and consequences.
