The Gunther Family has long been a good neighbor to the Tolland County Agricultural Center, Inc. They have worked with TAC over a 3 year period to make this purchase possible.

The Connecticut Farmland Trust

CFT is the only land trust in the state dedicated solely to the protection of agricultural land. Their dedication to this project provided us with grant money to make this purchase possible.

NRCS
The federal Farm and Ranch Land Protection Program (FRPP) provided matching funds to purchase development rights of productive farms and ranch lands.

TWO LANDMARKS BECOME ONE!!!

TAC was presented with a unique opportunity to acquire 23 acres known as the Gunther Farm. This will preserve a piece of historic Tolland County farmland and provide for further expansion of programs and activities TAC has promoted for the past 57 years.

A grant was awarded to this project through their Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Program.
