Brushes:
Papillon by the Artists Club Shader, size 2 #20125; size 4 #20126; size 8 #20129 Script Liner, size 10/0 #20137 Older scruffy well used brush size 10

Preparation:
There wont be any preparation for the resin piece, any slight imperfections can be lightly sanded. Plan on at least 2 coats of paint for good coverage. Allow to dry well between coats of paint.

Painting Instructions:
Tree: Paint the top layer of the tree Foliage Green. Paint the second layer Hauser Medium Green, and the lower area, Plantation Pine. Repeat. Dry brush some Lemonade highlights on the two top layers. Dry brush Hauser Medium Green on the lower layer. Gingerbread: Basecoat Cocoa. Float Dark Chocolate around the outer edge and inside the frosting edge. The frosting is Warm White. His little eyes are Lamp Black. Dry brush his cheeks Santa Red and just a hint of a nose. Fill in his mouth line with Lamp Black. 1

Package: Basecoat Light Buttermilk, shaded Toffee close to the tree branch. The ribbon is Santa Red. Candy Cane: Basecoat Santa Red. Add Warm White stripes. Bell: Basecoat Moon Yellow, shaded Honey Brown. Dry brush Light Buttermilk around the edge. The ringer is Honey Brown. Ornament: Basecoat Winter Blue, shaded Williamsburg Blue. The band around it is Marigold, shaded Honey Brown. Add a free hand snowake using Warm White. Star: Basecoat Marigold. Hat Band: Basecoat Toffee. The blue stripes are a mix of Williamsburg Blue plus Toffee. Using an old brush and thin Traditional Burnt Umber, wash some shading at the top just under the tree branches. Wipe away any excess with a soft rag or paper towel. Scarf: Basecoat Santa Red. Thin Black Plum and wash over the scarf. Wipe away any excess with a soft rag or paper towel. The fringe is Light Buttermilk, washed with Traditional Burnt Umber. Face: Basecoat Warm White. Repeat. Float Toffee around the top and across the bottom of his face. Float a little in the smile area. The eyes are lamp Black with a tiny Warm White highlight. The eyebrows are Dark Chocolate. The nose is Tangelo Orange, shaded next to the face with Georgia Clay. Dry brush the cheeks Poodleskirt Pink.

Finishing:
Finish with several light coats of DecoArt Acrylic Spray Sealer/ Finisher Matte. Add JoSonja Glamour Dust to the tree branches; ornament; star, and any other place as desired. 2
