My name is Ronald Starcher, Jr. and I will be a graduate of West Virginia State University in May 2014. During my stint at West Virginia State University I have been a Dean's List student and very active on campus through a variety of organizations, clubs, and professional societies. After this semester I will have achieved one of my life goals, being a teacher and a role model for my community. I have excelled in my time as an undergraduate. I have a thirst for knowledge and a passion for history which I will bring to my classroom and students. You will find in my portfolio an overview of my academic accomplishments. This includes my resume, transcript and certification. Also you will discover my educational philosophies and my views on education. In my profession I will be committed not only to my students but to diversity and technology in my classroom. My content knowledge in history and social studies will be available to all students that I

encounter in my profession. This portfolio displays my capabilities to be a member of the teaching profession and my role as an educator. It is a belief of mine that students and teachers should never stop learning and striving to improve in their profession.
