The forest ecosystem

In Romania there are many ecosistems. There are two types of forest : conifer and deciduous. Most of the trees are very old, some of them have over 1000 years. Forests are import for humans, they produce oxygen and offer wood ans shelter. In the beggining forests were the principal source of food and fuel. Forests influent the land, climate, agriculture and human health. Oak forests: Oaks spread in areas with altitudes between 700-800 m, and have a average temperature of 10 C Fauna : beetle, hedgehog, salamander, deer Vegetation : oak, maple, chery tree, elder Beech forests Beech trees spread in areas with altitudes between 600-1300 m. Fauna : insects, brown bear, squirrel, wild cat, boar, woodpecker Vegetation : mushrooms, hazelnut, beech, fir Spruce forests Spruce spreads in areas with altitudes between 1200-1800 Fauna : insects, woodpecker, mouse, rooster, squirrel Vegetation : spruce, fir, blueberry plant
