Beowulf was a great Anglo Saxon hero that fought monsters and evil creatures back when the

Vikings were around. Spider man is a crime fighting hero that turns in villains and robbers to the police and stops big super villains from terrorizing towns and cities. Both are Heros but both are very much different in their own special ways. Now, Spiderman can shoot webs out of his hands and can swing from his webs from web to web, but Beowulf has no such ability. Opposing that view though Spiderman is a nerd in real society and is a typical guy as where Beowulf is a hero in every aspect of the Anglo Saxon life style. In Beowulf, he decides to drop his sword and kill a monster with his own two hands which shows how strong he is. He also is highly respected by all the people that surround him because in the end of the poem they build him a tower so that all the ships that pass by can see it and remember that it is a monument for Beowulf. Spiderman doesnt have a big monument or statue built in his honor, but he does fight villains with his own two hands. His spider webs may help him with some of the fighting but generally he does most of it with his stealth and strength. Spiderman is also highly respected by the majority of the people around him but unlike Beowulf there are people that surround him with very little respect for him. Therefore, as heroic and modern as Spiderman is, I believe that Beowulf is the better hero for an Anglo Saxon time period and the time period today.
