Notes calendar displays entries an hour later than expected under specific conditions

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem
In Lotus Notes, you notice that your calendar entries are appearing an hour later than expected. The issue occurs after you adjust the window pane for the Day-At-
A-Glance view, but may start to occur after you switch to other windows in your mail file. For example, it has been observed when you open a Group Calendar view
and then close it. You only notice the issue when using the One Week view.

Cause
The cause of this issue is unknown at this time. The issue is unrelated to changes in Daylight Saving Time rules, but is a general DST issue. The Symptoms section
above details when it is known to occur.

Diagnosing the problem

If closing the Day-At-A-Glance calendar resolves the issue then this confirms the issue.

This issue only occurs if the following are true:

- The Day-At-A-Glance window is open
- The Day-At-A-Glance is not set to Summary, and is not set to the Sunday that Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends.
- Your calendar is set to the One Week view, and the week viewed includes the Sunday that DST. Note: The issue will also occur with the One Work Week view if
Sunday is included in the work week (and the week viewed includes the Sunday that DST ends).

The issue occurs regardless of the preferences theme setting.

The issue has not been observed with timezones that end DST on a day other than Sunday.

Resolving the problem

This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# TPUT7KULRF; and has been fixed in the following Notes releases: 8.0.2 Fix Pack 1 (FP1), 8.0.2 CCH2
and 8.5.

Fix details: SPR# TPUT7KULRF

Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.
Notes CCH (Cummulative Client Hotfix) are available for download from Fix Central.

As a workaround, close the Day-At-A-Glance window.
