Foundation @ MacDuffie Program

Whenever we interview a potential international student, an important skill we look for is an intermediate level of English. But what about the great students who only have limited English skills?
In order to accept excellent students with limited English skills, we have created the Foundation @ MacDuffie (FAM) Program. Students who enter this program will study the following program for one or two semesters: ESL/ELL 1- Reading and Writing ESL/ELL 1- Speaking and Listening ESL/ELL 1- General Science ESL-ELL 1- Social Sciences e above classes will be taught in a contained classroom setting with only students of the same limited English ability. ey can be mainstreamed based on their academic ability in math class and in any elective classes such as the arts

per semester inclusive of all fees.

Regular commission policies (10% in the first year) are in effect for the FAM Program as well as the regular MacDuffie Program.

$18,000

Upon successful completion of any course in the FAM Program, credit will be given. If the student wishes, he/she can be tested to move into the ESL/ELL 2 courses which will lead to graduation at MacDu e.
WHY CHOOSE THE FAM PROGRAM? Gives the student the ability to enter a prestigious international boarding school with limited English skills Gives the students MacDu e credits while studying English Gives the students the possibility of earning a MacDu e International Diploma or a MacDu e Diploma Gives the students the possibility to take electives with the non-FAM students and to participate in all school-wide trips, after school athletics, theater, clubs and all other school events Gives the students the opportunity to pay a 1/3 reduced rate for a full-service program Gives the students a lower-cost introduction to the world of an international, college prep boarding school, and allows them to decide early in their high school careers if a future preparatory school education is the right t for them Gives January students the opportunity to take a second semester of FAM during the summer months if needed
