Letter to people re: Education

Dear Neighbor, As a parent of two children in public schools I understand why education needs to be our priority. When we cut education funding we are cutting our future. As your representative I will be a champion for our kids and their education.

Tom Riggs priorities:

Cut Government Expand access to credit red tape
Small businesses particularly struggle with government red tape. Tom wants to reform the state business and occupation tax including the system which allows giant tax breaks for outof-state businesses. Many small businesses continue to face a credit crisis. Since the crash of 2008, banks have been reluctant to lend money. Tom Riggs will work to ease restrictions and motivate banks to support our small businesses.

Promote local agriculture

Tom supports clean energy and local agriculture. He and his wife have 5 acres where they raise chickens and have a small orchard. Tom has worked with our states natural resources for eighteen years as a park ranger.
