    Seeds of the a. Squamosa Linn. Premature fruits were collected, shade and air dried and ground in to powder. 150 to 200 g of the powder was packed in filter paper packs and extracted with ethanol in a soxhlet apparatus continuously for about 6 to 10 h. The ethanolic extract was distilled off till semisolid substances were obtained. These substances were stored in a - 20degC deep freezer until further use.
