You mention in your communication that you found our earlier reply sent on 13% March 2009 to be a crude and amateurish altempt to attribute ulterior motives to your attempt to highlight the imegularities and illegality in the functioning of the Society. You have also alleged that our letter deliberately does not answer many of the “vital issues" raised by you. In fact our response to your letter dated 20" January 2009 had been prepared after the Governing Council had carefully looked info each and every issue that you had raised and had found that none have any factual basis fo them. It was clearly ain ill informed attempt by you to vilfy a noble initiative largely due to your personal motivations Your claims of being dedicated towards upholding the ideals of the Global Compact Principles run hollow. You had approached us after your organisation had. joined the Global Compact initiative. offering your services on a voluntary basis, to come to office 2-3 times a week, and to undertake several tasks, as there was no full-time person in the office. The Governing Council had accepted your offer in good faith and appointed you as a Joint Secretary fill the next AGM in June 2008. Yet despite the opportunities that you had, there was hardly any worthwhile initiative taken by you to strengthen the Global Compact activities. In fact, as some members shared with us, you started using GCS contacts for promoting activities of your own organisation. You are stil claiming to hold the post of Joint Secretary when the records clearly show that your appointment was fill the AGM in June 2008. The fact that you are making this claim despite being present at the Governing Council meetings, in February 2008 (when your appointment as J1. Secretary GCS was approved) and in June 2008 (when the minutes of the February 08 meeting, clearly stating the short tenure of your appointment were confirmed) is an indication of your value system. Secretary. Mr Pramar was present in the Governing Council meeting in February 2008 which approved his ‘appointment as Joint Secretary fill AGMin June 2008, and was also present in the next meeting in June 08 where the minutes were confirmed. He was thus fully aware that his appointment was only til AGM in June 08. There is no constitutional bar to ‘appoint a person for short duration in @ vacant position. The communication has been quoted out of context and the mail was sent by Dr. Kohli before the AGM on 24h June 08 when Mr. Pramar was still the Joint Secretary. Mr Pramar provided no help for the AGM, as requested by Dr Kohli. Allegations made against Dr. Uddesh Kohl ~The persons who had joined together in 2003, to form GCS have been eliminated using the excuse that are no longer employed by their original organisations but ‘the same rule has not been applied for Dr. Kohl. = Dr. Kohiiis a self appointed GC Focal Point. How can Dr. Kohli continue as Focal point Itis wrong to say that anyone has been eliminated. Its the prerogative of respective member ‘organisations to choose the individual who would represent it in the Society. Dr. Kohli curently represents CIDC which is also a founding member of the Society. Dr. Kohli has been appointed as the Focal Point by the Governing Council of the Global Compact Society. It is not an elected position.
