Media Shots

Close up- This shot is usually used to show a characters face. Therefore displaying the characters emotion/expression.

Long shot- This shot is used to show an entire object can be used as an establishing shot to show where the story begins.

Mid Shot- This shot is used to show the waist up and so that hand gestures and faces are clearly shown. This is a social shot.

The tilted shot- This shot is used to show the vertical significance of something .

Low angle- This angle is used to represent power, looking up at someone shows you are weak of scared. However it may show you look up to them.

Extreme close up- This shot is used to exaggerate features and shot the significant of the emotion being displayed.

Extreme long shot- This shot is also known as an establishing shot it shows a large amount of landscape and may be used to represent loneliness or scale.

Full shot- This shot is used to show the complete view of the character from head to toe to show there costume and there body in action.
