This source covers seven ways to keep food safe; from checking for cleanliness to examining frozen food packaging. It goes over the sight and sniff test as well, which is a way to test your food before you buy it to ensure it will be safe to eat. The article has several helpful pointers on how to inspect cans and how to pick out eggs to ensure that your food is safe. NIH Medline Plus gives information on purchasing food as well as how to store food correctly. This source was helpful in many ways. It gave interesting tips on how to keep food safe. The main goal of this source was to inform the reader on how to ensure food is safe, so no food borne illnesses occur. This source was helpful to me and can contribute to my research, it gave information on how to keep food safe and prevent foodborne illness. It helped me better understand how to keep my food safe after it is bought as well as how to make sure the food is safe before it is bought. It covers: what causes foodborne illnesses, the symptoms of foodborne illnesses and how to prevent food borne illnesses. If food safety is followed, there will be no foodborne illnesses. The article states that most foodborne illnesses are caused by harmful viruses and bacteria. The article includes the different types of bacteria, viruses, parasites and chemicals. The NDDIC provides a lot of useful information about foodborne illnesses. There is information about the temperatures you should keep your food at to keep the bacteria from multiplying rapidly. There is no bias in this article; it simply explains information about the topic. This article will be very helpful in my research about Food Safety. It explains how to keep food safe, and at the correct temperatures. It also gives information about the symptoms of foodborne illness, as well

as some treatment options. If foodborne illnesses prevention steps are followed, food will be safe to eat.
