Comparative between reverse engineering and indigenous engineering Reverse engineering is the process of discovering the technological principles

of a device, object, or system through analysis of its structure, function, and operation counter to indigenous engineering that creates and investigates from a starting point what leading to need more resources, time and creativity to make advances in technology and in the various areas while reverse engineering which improves and refines what already be made. For example in Colombia, the CIAC and EMBRAER study and analyze the T27 Tucano aircraft from Brazil, which initially came as an instructional aircraft, thanks to needs is improved to support ground forces with the installation of weapons. The modernization of these requires investment of a certain amount of money however no more than if it were made from point zero. The indigenous engineering require much larger investments that reverse engineering as this requires resources and personnel for research and the realization of the project without mention the time and creativity.
