Characters The characters in this story consists the rich man, the rich mans sons and the man in the hotel. These characters (the rich man and his sons) are developing in this story. They show the development in this story. The main characters are the two rich mans sons.

Storyline The series of events which form the story. Expository introduce the characters, the rich man and his two sons. The rich man bought a horse each of them. Rising action their father, the rich man, died. Climax found a piece of paper that asking them to ride from London to the New Forest. Falling action stopped at the hotel and met with the man in the hotel. Resolution - the man in the hotel give an idea for them to solve their problem.

Illustrations Interesting and colourful illustrations can help to boost pupils interest and understanding. From this story, the illustrations are lack. But in our opinion, these do not matter because the story is for Year 4 pupils. So, they will understand the story even if they are lacking in illustrations. The illustrations also look dull because they are not so colourful.

Diction The words chose by writer are simple and suitable for the Year 4 pupils. It is also easy to understand the story because it only the direct meaning.

Length This story is not very that long. Consists 3 pages.

Setting Places the rich man house in London (where the rich man and his sons lived together), the hotel (they rested there before the started their journey to New Forest), New Forest (their final destination where their fathers is situated) Time a long time ago, ancient Culture the rich people can afford to buy horses for their children. The rich man can buy two horses for his two sons.

Time Sequence From the small until they become adults From day time until night. It is when they stop at the hotel at night to rest themselves.
