Geometric Deviations

Roundness Roundness deviation is the distance between two concentric circles touching and enclosing the extracted circumferential line at the minimum radial distance to each other.

Straightness Straightness deviation is the distance between two parallel lines touching and enclosing the extracted surface line at the minimum distance to each other.

Flatness Flatness deviation is the distance between two parallel planes touching and enclosing the extracted plane at the minimum distance to each other.

Cylindricity Cylindricity deviation is the distance between two coaxial cylinders touching and enclosing the extracted surface at the minimum radial distance to each other.

Coaxiality Coaxiality deviation is the maximum radial distance between the calculated axis and the datum axis within the length of evaluation range.

Concentricity

Concentricity deviation is the maximum radial distance between the calculated centre and the datum element centre.

Parallelism (Plane to Plane) Parallelism deviation of a plane from a datum plane is the max difference in distance between the extracted plane and the datum plane.

Perpendicularity (Plane to Axis) The perpendicularity deviation of a plane from a datum axis is the maximum difference in distance between the extracted plane and a plane arranged perpendicularly to the datum axis.

Perpendicularity (Axis to Plane) The perpendicularity deviation of an axis from a datum a plane is the maximum radial distance between the calculated axes arranged perpendicularly to the datum plane.

Run-Out Run-out deviation is the maximum difference in the distance of the extracted circumferential line perpendicular to the datum axis.

Axial Run-Out

Axial Run-out deviation is the maximum difference in the distance of a cylindrical section of the plane surface parallel to the datum axis. The deviation must not exceed the tolerance value.

Total Run-Out Total Run-out deviation is the maximum difference in the distance of the extracted cylindrica surface perpendicular to the datum axis. The deviation must not exceed the tolerance value.

Total Axial Run-Out Total Axial Run-out deviation is the maximum difference in the distance of the extracted flat surface parallel to the datum axis. The deviation must not exceed the tolerance value.
