Country Report Lesson Plan I Ms.

Williams Lesson Plan Date: September 29, 2013 Subject: Social Studies Signature of Classroom Teacher: J. Williams ______________________________________________________________________________ I. Standards AL.SS.3.2 AL.TC.3.8 II. Objectives Do a short country report to learn fun facts, flags, and landmarks on a country of your choice. III. Introductory Activities Attention class. 1, 2, 3 all eyes on me. This week we will be creating a country report of your choice. IV. Developmental Activities Research and collect fun facts on a specific country of the students choice. Students can use computers, iPads, newspapers, and magazines. V. Culminating Activities The children will be given a country report worksheet that can be filled with pictures, or words. Be creative! VI. Assessment (Evaluation of the Days Objectives/Assessing Students Learning) Locating countries and historical landmarks on maps. Collect information from a variety of digital sources.

Country Report Lesson Plan II Informal Assessment Students will be given a worksheet and will be graded on accuracy, creativity, neatness. VII. Modifications for Special Needs ADHD These students will participate and help out when needed in all activities. Hearing Impaired During the lesson pictures will be presented.
