SYNONYMYS: Are words that have the same or nearly meaning as another word. FOR EXAMPLE: Dark Murk Strong Heavy ANTONYMS: An antonym of a particular word is one that have the opposite meaning. Based on the theory of semantic composition, explain the meaning in the following meaning: He was eating a hamburger In this case the pronoun corresponds with the verb, because he is animated and has the physical capacity to eat. The verb corresponds with the noun, because the hamburger is eatable. He was eating a chair In this case the pronoun corresponds with the verb, because he is animated and has the physical capacity to eat. The grammatical structure ofthe sentenceis fine but the noun doesnot correspond to theverbbecause chair does not have the property of being eaten by someone. He was painting a chair In this case the pronoun corresponds with the verb, because he is animated and has the physical capacity to paint. The verb corresponds with the noun, because the chair denotes an inanimate being.
