    American rock band formed around 1986 by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic.

    The band consisted of drummer Dave Grohl, bassist Chris Novoselic and vocals and guitar by Kurt Cobain. They made five albums. They have until now many fans around the world.

    The April 5, 1994 Kurt Cobain lead singer dies at age 27 after being shot in the head, the official version was that he committed suicide, the band ended after the death of Kurt. In 2004 were ranked at # 27 on the list of the 100 greatest artists of all time in Rolling Stone and # 14 according to the magazine Vh1. The band has sold over 50 million albums worldwide, including 10 million copies of the album "Nevermind" in the United States and 30 million worldwide. His music continues to be broadcast by radio stations worldwide.
