You are on page 1of 1

At the top of the page we have an introduction of the magazine in which it has a somewhat editors foreword, without the

name, this is in black writing against the plain white background which helps the black feel more alive and in your face. Just above this we have a contrast with the white writing and the black background this is all seamless and fits well. Just next to this we have a small copy of the Ve front cover, this is something lots of magazines do, I believe it is there to help correlate the issue number and reinstate these details. In the main image we have a fan in a Lamb Of God tee-shirt, this shows that the magazine is going to concentrate on the audience point of view rather than just media gatekeeping. We also have a quote from the new band Solborne, which shows they are promoting new talent, which, in itself a risk for magazines as they dont know what response the audience will give but it could pay off for them.

On the bottom it talks about getting a years subscription decreasing the amount you pay on each issue, this in turn promotes loyal followers of the magazine to commit to the magazine, in turn helping not only the consumer but also the magazine publishers. The important part are put in red to stand out white on a black background which means that the white text also stands out fairly well, we also have quotes at the bottom which links to fans having their say, which in turn links again to the magazines focus on community.
