Hon.

Kathleen Wynne Premier of Ontario Legislative Bldg Rm 281 Queen's Park Toronto ON M7A1A1 15 October 2013 Dear Premier; I am writing you today with regards to Gilead Powers Dorland Industrial Wind Turbine project in my riding, which is currently in the assessment phase. At a municipal council meeting of October 8th, 2013, the Town of Greater Napanee voted unanimously in support of a resolution identifying them as an unwilling host for this project. I fully support their position, and I am asking you to hold true to your leadership campaign promise to allow for greater community input into the placement of industrial wind turbine projects. Premier, you and I both know fully well that wind power has had a net loss of $2 billion to the province since the implementation of the Green Energy Act. Further, with the recent and significant losses associated with the relocation of the Mississauga and Oakville power plants, the taxpayers and electricity ratepayers of Ontario simply cannot afford to subsidize any further IWT projects. You have been provided an opportunity to do right by the people of Ontario- listen to the people of Greater Napanee and withdraw from the proposed Dorland Wind project. I have also shared my concerns with your Minister of Energy, the Hon. Bob Chiarelli. The Town of Greater Napanees residents and I look forward to your timely reply. Sincerely,

Randy Hillier P.S. Although the Legislature can be a highly partisan arena, Im sure we can both agree that when government does not show respect and regard for our constituents, we should not be surprised that a crop of contempt and disgrace becomes our harvest.
