Astrix and his friends Astrix, his friends and their adventures were created by Ren Gosciny (text)

and Albert Uderzo (drawings) in 1959. The adventures of Astrix and his friends take place in about 50 before Christ. At that time, Gaule (the ancient name of France) was occupied by the Romans. In the fictional world created by Gosciny and Uderzo, there is one small village which resist Roman domination. The stories of Astrix have such a strong relation with French culture that they have become part of the French culture. 1

His friends hate his music. ) He prepare the magic potion that gives immeasurable strength to the one who drinks it. ) His favourite food is roast pork and he always want to drink the potion, although he is forbidden because he fell inside it when he was little. ) He is the chief, the leader of the village. The villagers sometime make fun of him.
