Monosaccharide gives you quick energy because in that one glucose molecule there is a lot of sugar and it gave you energy for a small period of time than you crash by doing this your energy source has run out it is also because it has simple sugar .You can get carbohydrates from many different food sources the most general meaning common foods are bread, pastas, and grains.
