A HISTORY OF TERROR: ATTACKS ON CAMP ASHRAF

Seven Iranian dissidents taken hostage in Camp Ashraf were first taken to a location belonging to the Iraqi Prime Minister in the Green zone. After a few days they were transfered to the Golden Battelions prison known as Dirty Battalion. On 22nd of September They were again transferred to the notrious Sharaf prison in Baghdad, behind the office of the Iraqi Prime Minister.
The move to a prison controlled by Iraqi prime minister Malikis Dirty Division comes in response to a United Nations teams search for the hostages. The United States and the United Nations must protect the residents in Camp Liberty. The world must demand: n Immediate US and UN intervention to visit the hostages n An absolute halt of their extradition to Iran n Their ultimate release

JULY 2009

The Iraqi Army under orders from Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki launches attacks on Camp Ashraf. 11 residents dead and 500 wounded.

SINCE 2009

The camp has been under siege. Food, fuel and medicine has been hampered and outside visits curtailed.

APRIL 2011

Another attack on Camp Ashraf leaves 36 dead and hundreds more wounded.

IN 2012

Most Ashraf residents were subject to a forced eviction and involuntary relocation to Camp Liberty in Baghdad.
