Memorandum TO: Melanie Modula FROM: Rachel Poisall DATE: February 18, 2013 SUBJECT: Terp Thon Fact Sheet

I chose to write a fact sheet on the background of Terp Thon because most students only know about the events Terp Thon hosts and not the actual organization. The type of fact sheet I wrote is a company profile, which emphasizes the main aspects of the organization including its establishment date, employees, organizational goals, etc. The main audience for this fact sheet would be the University of Maryland community, and the secondary audience would be local media. The University of Maryland community would care most about Terp Thon because it is an on-campus organization, yet most students do not know the organizations background. The local media should be presented with information about Terp Thon so they can help promote the organization and learn more about it.
