Curriculum updation is a continuous process and hence the Board brings out revised curricula every year. It is obligatory for the Schools and the students preparing for the Board's examination of a particular year to follow the syllabi, courses and the books prescribed by it for that year. No deviation from the ones prescribed is permissible. All concerned are, therefore, strongly advised to purchase the curriculum prescribed for the year concerned from the CBSE Headquarters or its Regional Offices for their information and use. Work Education 10, Art Education 11, Physical and Health Education Framework for Special Adult Literacy Drive Page 10 17 32 52, 89 ul 121 131 148 229 229 231 242 249 PART I ELIGIBILITY AND SCHEME OF STUDIES 1, ELIGIBILITY OF CANDIDATES Admission of students to a School, Transfer/Migration of Students. 1, ADMISSION-GENERAL CONDITIONS 1.1 @_Astudentseeking admission to any class ina ‘Schoo!’ willbe eligible for admission to that classonly ithe: @ _ hasbeen studying ina school recognised by or affliated to this Board or any other recognised Board of Secondary Education in India; _haspassed qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination makinghim eligible for admission to that class; (ii) satisfies the requirements of age limits ( minimum & maximum as determined by the State! ULT. Government and applicable to the place where the School is located; Gv) produces: (@ the School Leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate signed by the Head ofthe Institution lastattended and countersigned ; (©) document(s) in support of his having passed the qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination, and (©) For the purposes of admission to elementary education, the age of a child shall be determined on the basis ofthe birth certificate issued in accordance with the provisions of the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration. Act, 1886 or on the basis of such other document, as may be prescribed. as stipulated in section 14(1) of THE RIGHT OF CHILDREN TO FREE AND COMPULSORY EDUCATION ACT, 2009, @ _Nochild shall be denied admission in a school for lack of age proof, as stipulated in section 14(2) of THE RIGHT OF CHILDREN TO FREE AND COMPULSORY EDUCATION ACT, 2009. Explanation: (@) _Aperson who has been studying in an institution, which is not recognised by this Board of Secondary Education orby the State/U.T. Governments of the concerned place, shall notbe admitted to any class ofa ‘schoo! on the basis of certificate(s) ofsuch unrecognised institution(s) attended by him earlier. (©) ‘Qualifying Examination’ means an examination the passing of which makesa student eligible for admission to a particular class and ‘equivalent examination’ means-an «examination conducted by any reoognised Board of Secondary Education/Indian University ‘ran institution recognised by or affiliated to such Board/University and is recognised by this Board equivalent to the corresponding examination conducted by this Board or conducted by a'“Schoo!” affiliated to/recognised by this Board. (b)Achild suffering from disability, as defined in clause (i) of section 2 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection and Full Participation) Act, 1996, shall have the right to pursue free and compulsory elementary education in accordance with the provisions of chapter V of the 1
