Waste and the future of fuel

A group of researchers at the Masdar Institute are using traditional methods of oil refining to remove substances from biomasses like household waste in order to create fuel as an alternative to fossil fuel, which is limited. Reducing the UAEs household waste could cut the countrys carbon footprint but is expensive. A bioreactor will be used to grow algae found in the UAE to extract the resources which can be converted into fuel. Converting algae could be used for pharmaceutical and other products and is a good source of income, but not all countries are ready to pay for gas. Words: 100
