Project Requirements:
Typed research paper using a minimum of three sources. The paper must be at least 2 pages, double-spaced 12 pt. font. (Wikipedia may NOT be used) Bibliographies must be included. Biographical Information: when and where was the photographer born what was his/her childhood like what education/training did s/he receive career highlights- what awards/grants/exhibits did s/he have, what was his or her family like Is he or she still living? If not when did they die? Discussion of Style/techniques: what is the photographers style, common subject matter, favorite techniques, and so forth? Examples of Images: please include at least 3 examples of the photographers work. They do not count as part of the 2-page requirement. Oral Presentation: You will present about your photographer to the class on a prearranged date. You must be ready to go at the beginning of the period on that date. You should have several images by the photographer saved on a flash drive that you can share as part of your presentation on the Smartboard. You may wish to put them into a PowerPoint or other form of presentation, or you can just show them as a group of slides in Preview or iPhoto or other program. Your classmates will be taking notes during your presentation and you will be expected to answer their questions at the end. You will be graded on your presentation skills. You are presenting, NOT reading. Practice at home so you will be prepared, confident and coherent. You may wish to work from notecards, but you should be making eye contact with your audience.

Evaluation:
quality of writing (grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence and paragraph structure, format of bibliography and reliability of your sources) interest level of writing

meeting all project criteria presentation skills: (eye contact, voice projection, confidence/ease, preparedness, ability to answer questions from audience)
