Taninthayi Region Hluttaw holds special meeting 1/2012

NAY PYI TAW, 27 Jan -Taninthayi Region Hluttaw held its first special meeting 1/2012 at the Taninthayi Region Hluttaw Office today. It was attended by Acting Chief Minister of Taninthayi Region U Myat Ko, Speaker of Taninthayi Region Hluttaw U Htin Aung Kyaw and 25 representatives of the Hluttaw. The message sent by the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the special meeting was read out by the Speaker of the Hluttaw and it was put on record. A proposal of the President to assign Region Minister for Finance and Revenue U Myat Ko as Chief Minister of Taninthayi Region Government according to the Section 261, subsection (b), para (1) and para (2) of the Constitution was sought for the approval at the Hluttaw. The Hluttaw announced the agreement to the proposal as there was no rejection to the proposal. The Chief Minister of Taninthayi Region took an oath before the Speaker of the Hluttaw when the meeting resumed at 1 pm. The meeting ended with an address of the Chief Minister of Taninthayi Region.
