Guidelines for the First Mid-Term Exams in Probability & Statistics

The exam will be in written form and you are required to solve 5 exercises. Due to the great number of students we will have three turns for the exam. The exercises will be on Set theory, Probability theory and Random variables. In particular: Exercise 1 concerns the basic principal of counting and probability Exercise 2 regards conditional probability, Bayes rule and independent outcomes Exercise 3 deals with Discrete Random Variable Exercise 4 is based on distributions of two Random Variables Exercise 5 concerns the computation of probabilities for the Normal Distribution
