What is OCD?
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD): characterised by the presence of either obsessions (repetitive, distressing, unwanted thoughts) or compulsions (repetitive, distressing, unproductive behaviours) commonly both. Symptoms cause significant functional impairment/distress Diagnostic criteria: ICD-10/DSM-IV must include the presence of either compulsions or obsessions
