Acid Base: Two Special Ions

H+ hydronium ion or proton OH- hydroxide ion Key idea: In a neutral solution, the concentration of H+ and OH- are the same. When there are more H+, the solution is acidic. When there are more OH-, the solution is basic. Key question: What compound forms with H+ and OH- ions?

Discussion
Think about what can you test out next to get numerical or quantitative data? In your exploration, what did you learn about acids, bases, and indicators? What can you use this information for? If you could test out something at home about acid-base, what would it be?

DUE TODAY
1. Two (2) lab reports: Conductivity, Acid Base 2. Ions Worksheet (with the flowchart in back) 3. Ionic Compounds Chart (done in notebook) LAB REPORTS MUST HAVE.

TWO (2) ideas or topics or more for your chemistry-related project. For each one, convince me in 2-3 sentences why you are interested or curious about it. Hint: Choose something that you will be interested in testing out or a topic that you can be passionate about! Something that gets you saying Hey, thats pretty cool, or I wonder what would happen if Be curious to try something out!
