CONSCIOUS LEADERSHIP What does "conscious leadership" mean?

It is a way of being as a leader that is grounded in mindfulness, emotional intelligence, intuition and honest communication. It is an expanded capacity for self-observation and heightened awareness. Conscious Leadership provides a process of guiding leaders and teams deeper into an understanding of their behavior, interactions and decisions with this definition in mind. Through this exploration, leaders begin to choose their actions and their decisions based on a conscious awareness of what drives them, what derails them and what will make them more successful. A greater self-awareness on the part of both leaders and teams creates greater collaboration, more constructive dialogue and ultimately a smoother and more successful business outcome. A leader's personal growth and transformation fuels that of the organization. Studies have shown that 75% or more of an individual's success in business is based on emotional intelligence. Consciousness is the foundation of EI.

A conscious leader:

Manages a dialogue - be it with peers, direct reports or clients and customers - with greater ease of communication, keener insight, more focused strategy and more effective timing to build the relationship and trust and achieve superior outcomes Navigates through the pace and complexity of change with calm, vision and grounded confidence Motivates all those around through a strength of presence, positive vibration and genuine connection Moves the energy of accomplishment forward with passion, intuition, direction, focused intention and thoughtful planning Maintains balance at all levels of one's being so as to role model a new leadership practice and harness one's full power
